The role This analyst position is intended for aspiring university graduates or professionals with a few years of finance experience who are aiming for a career in finance and accounting. Controllership means accounting, group accounting and reporting. Since we are a start-up, you will be given a lot of responsibility right from the start and you will learn a lot with it. The main focus will be group accounting for OLX Autos Group with some responsibilities on local accounting for our headquarters companies (Germany and USA). Our training-on-the-job and learning-by-doing approach means that you will work directly in and with our Controllership team. So, you will get to know everything immediately in practice and take on responsibility from the start. We know that you want to develop constantly. A budget is therefore available every year for external courses, materials, and exams. Which exactly we will coordinate with you. Depending on which direction you want to develop. Job Description: Support the corporate month-end accounting process for OLX Autos Design and further development of our financial processes. Support policy and process implementations within the OLX Autos Group Support in preparing the consolidated financial statements in OneStream Support with tax-relevant topics. Support with the introduction of ERPs (SAP/NetSuite) and OneStream consolidation software. Support the monthly intercompany reconciliation process. Lead the Monthly Risk assessments and Balance sheet reconciliation process for the OLX Autos Group. Handle administrative tasks and creation of ad-hoc reports. Skills & Attributes: Studying towards a Professional Accounting qualifications Experience in finance (e.g. through internships) with or strong interest in business topics, accounting, financial planning, consolidation, taxes and / or generally finance Good theoretical knowledge in an accounting standard, preferably IFRS, but also HGB or US GAAP are welcome. Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel, SAP and/or other accounting packages Highly organised, detail-oriented, and structured thinking. Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail, affinity with numbers and analytical thinking. Ability to take responsibility, be accountable, able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team Strong time management and prioritisation skills Good written and spoken English and good German. Other languages are of course also welcome. Desire to work in a very international team and motivated to take on responsibility immediately and to really make a difference.
